Terms of Service
1. What this is
Outreach Guard is a Chrome extension plus a server. When someone on your team messages a candidate on LinkedIn, LinkedIn Recruiter or Sales Navigator, the extension records that a contact happened and shows it to the rest of your licensed PCs as a yellow mark.
These terms are between your company («you») and Renato Vieira Pimpão («we»). The service is for businesses; it is not offered to consumers.
2. Trial
New accounts get 14 days free on up to 5 PCs, no card required. When the trial ends, existing marks stay visible for 7 more days but no new ones are recorded. After that the extension stops working until you subscribe. Nothing is charged automatically at any point of the trial.
3. Price and billing
- €9.40 per PC per month, plus VAT. One plan, no tiers.
- Billed monthly in advance through Stripe, for the number of PCs you choose.
- You can change the number of PCs or cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; we do not refund the current month.
- If a payment fails, the service keeps working while Stripe retries. If it keeps failing, the subscription lapses and the 7-day read-only window applies.
4. Licence and seats
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install the extension on the number of PCs you pay for. A PC counts as in use if it contacted the server in the last 30 days; you can free a seat by removing that PC from the dashboard. The licence key identifies your company — treat it like a password, and regenerate it from the dashboard if it leaks.
5. Your side of the deal
- Keep your account credentials and licence key secure, and tell us quickly if they leak.
- Make sure the people whose names appear in the dashboard know the tool is in use — they are your staff, and you are their employer.
- Act as the controller for the candidate data your team generates: decide the retention window, answer candidates who ask, and have a lawful basis for the processing.
- Do not resell, sublicense or redistribute the extension, and do not try to reverse the hashes of another company's data.
6. LinkedIn is not part of this
We are an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to LinkedIn Corporation, and LinkedIn is their trademark, not ours.
Read this part properly, because it is the one people skip: your use of LinkedIn is governed by your own agreement with LinkedIn. The extension changes how LinkedIn pages look on your screen — that is what a highlighter does — and LinkedIn's user agreement restricts overlaying or modifying the appearance of its services. We have designed the product to stay as far from the serious prohibitions as possible: it never automates an action, never sends or schedules a message, never scrapes or exports profile data, and never makes a single request to LinkedIn on your behalf. Still, the decision to install it is yours, and any consequence in your LinkedIn account is between you and LinkedIn.
7. What the service does not promise
Detection depends on LinkedIn's own pages, which change without notice. When they change, a send can go unrecorded until we adapt — and it can fail silently, which is why the dashboard shows you the counts. We provide the service as is, with no warranty that every single message will be captured, and no guarantee of uninterrupted availability.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost candidates, lost placements or lost revenue. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending it
You can cancel whenever you want, and delete the account and all its data from the dashboard. We can suspend an account that does not pay, or that uses the service in a way that breaks these terms or the law, after telling you why.
10. Changes, law and courts
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email the account admin at least 30 days before it takes effect; carrying on using the service after that means you accept the change. These terms are governed by the law of Portugal, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction.
